Chepping View Primary Academy
Rated outstanding on their last Ofstead inspection this school is one of the top primary schools in the area. Pupils range from ages 4-11 but there is also a pre-school that caters for ages 2-3. With an above average score for pupils reading and well above average score for maths, Chepping View has distinguished itself as one of the top education providers in the county of Buckinghamshire.

Danesfield School
Another school receiving an outstanding rating from their Ofstead inspection. Located in Marlow and a 15 minute drive from High Wycombe, Danesfield School is another of Buckinghamshire's top primary schools. Scoring above average in writing and well above average in both reading and maths, which is reflected in Danesfield's pupils achieving well above average in their KS2 exam results. Pupils ages range from 4-11.

Castlefields Primary School
Having received a rating of good on their last Ofstead report, Castlefields Primary is quickly climbing the rankings and well on the way to becoming another top primary school in the county. With a score of above average for pupils in both writing and maths Castlefields Primary could be heading for an outstanding rating on it's next Ofstead inspection. Ages for pupils range from 2-11.

Secondary Schools

Wycombe Abbey
Not only the top secondary school in the county of Buckinghamshire, Wycombe Abbey is named in the Sunday Times school guide as the number one independent secondary school in the south east of England and the third best in the country. This all girls school with students ranging from ages 11-18 sets a high standard for others to follow. Wycombe Abbey's outstanding A level results of 96.7 per cent A*-B and 96.7 per cent A*/A/9/8/7 in GCSE's, make it the number one choice for higher education in High Wycombe.

Wycombe High School
Another all girls school that is one of the top secondary schools in Buckinghamshire is Wycombe High School. Having achieved a rating of outstanding on it's last Ofstead report, it is easy to see why when looking at their KS4 results. With 98 per cent of students achieving grade 5+ in GCSE's and 85 per cent entering EBacc, this is reflected in their A level exam results which are well above average. There is definitely a culture of aspiring for the best amongst their students, who's ages range from 11-18.

The Royal Grammar School
Finally the boys have made it onto our top 3. The Royal Grammar School is another of Buckinghamshire's top secondary schools, except this time it is an all boys school. Having had some well known past students such as Jimmy Carr (comedian) and Matt Dawson MBE (ex rugby player), The Royal Grammar School has been a top performer over decades. Achieving 93 per cent for students entering EBacc which is more than double the national and local averages and 98 per cent for students achieving grade 5+ in GCSE's. The school sets a very high standard for it's students who achieve A level exam results that are a third higher than the local and national averages. Consistently performing above average make The Royal Grammar School one of the best in High Wycombe.

Transport in High Wycombe

High Wycombe has transport links nationwide. It's location between London and Birmingham allows for quick and easy access to both of these major cities for those having to commute. Train journey's can take as little as 30 minutes to get you to central London. There are also a number of coach services that frequently travel to destinations all over London. Both of these options give you the flexibility of choice between speed and price. 

Train links to Birmingham are also relatively quick, with journey times being just over an hour long. There is also an option of travelling via coach, which will take just under 2 hours. This again allows flexibility for all budgets. 

There is also a fantastic bus system that allows passengers easy travel around High Wycombe, across Buckinghamshire and the surrounding counties. This transport systen allows for travel  to any destination within the region.
